The Brownwood FFA held their awards banquet on May 16, 2011 at the Lamb/Goat Barn at the Brownwood School Farm. The following awards were presented.
Outstanding Senior Award: The Outstanding Senior Awards goes to Thomas Sikes (pictured top left). Thomas has participated in Leadership Development Events and Career Development Events. He also has a cow/calf operation
. He has shown pigs at the Brown County Youth Fair, San Antonio Livestock Show, and Houston Livestock Show.
Star Lonestar Award: The Star Lonestar Award is award to an outstanding Junior Classman. This year’s recipient is TJ Esparza. TJ has participated in Leadership Development Events and Career Development Events. He has raised Lambs and Goats for the Brown County Fair and Houston Livestock Show (Photo not available).
Star Chapter Award: The Star Chapter Award is presented to a very active sophomore in the Chapter. The award goes to Jordyn Senkirik (pictured top right). Jordyn participated in Leadership Development Events and Career Development Events. She also has a cow/calf operation raising Charolais Cattle. She is c
urrently the Cross Timbers District Sentinel.
Star Greenhand Award: Each year the Star Greenhand Award is given to a freshman who is the most active member of their class. This year’s award goes to Matthew Lewis (pictured left). Matthew has participated in Leadership Development Events and Career Development Events and also has a Breeding Lamb and Cattle Operation.
Top Judge Award: The Top Judge Award is award to someone who has excelled at his/her judging contest. This year’s award goes to Thomas Sikes (pictured right). Thomas has been placed in the Top 5 at every contest this year.
Honorary Chapter Member: The Honorary Chapter Member is Jeff Day. Mr. Day has served as the President of Brownwood FFA Ag Booster Club and has given hours to our program to help our member excel in different areas (Photo not available).
