bisdlogo4The City of Brownwood and Keep Brownwood Beautiful supply Brownwood ISD elementary schools with recycling trailers to collect classroom and home recyclables during the school year.

Under the direction of teachers and school staff, students collected recyclable items including aluminum cans, cardboard, magazines, newspaper, # 1 plastic (water and soda bottles), tin cans and white office paper. The items collected were taken to the City of Brownwood Recycling center where they were sorted and then sent to processors who turn the materials into various raw materials to be made into new products.
