The Brownwood Economic Development Corporation will unveil their new strategic plan at this Friday’s Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheon.  The event will take place Friday, October 19 at the Brownwood Country Club from 11:30 AM to 1 PM.

The future of Brownwood economic development has been set forth in a recently completed strategic plan by Avalanche Consulting, Inc.  The 6-month planning process involved a large number of Brownwood leaders and residents.

Amy Holloway, President of Avalanche Consulting, will keynote the October 19th Chamber luncheon to share highlights from the strategy and facilitate a panel discussion about Brownwood’s future.  More information on the strategy may be found at www.brownwoodstrategy.com.

Since its founding in 2005, the firm has served as a strategist and targeted marketing consultant for dozens of outstanding economic development organizations such as Team Texas, West Kentucky Workforce Investment Board, Greater Houston Partnership, Upstate South Carolina Alliance, City of Provo and the Bastrop, South Carolina, and Metro Orlando EDCs.

The luncheon is open to Chamber members and guests and will feature an interesting program, door prizes, introduction of new members and the “Aces Wild” Cash Drawing—which features a guaranteed winner each month.

This luncheon’s Presenting Sponsor is Abilene Regional Airport.  The Table Sponsor is F & M Bank. Door prizes have been provided by Mid-Tex Cellular, McCluskey & Associates Real Estate, Trees Forever Nursery and Mary Kay Cosmetics-Laura Lacey Johnson.

The cost of the luncheon is $12 per person to be paid at the door.  Anyone interested in attending the luncheon is urged to RSVP to the Chamber by calling 325-646-9535 or register online on the Chamber’s website: www.brownwoodchamber.org.
