Local “Goat Willie’s” BBQ cooking team earned 5th place at the Brady World Championship Barbeque Cook-Off Labor Day weekend, August 31-September 1st.

Over 200 teams competed and on Saturday, Goat Willie’s team clinched 5th place. The event was held in Richards Park in Brady and was a sold out competition according to event organizers.
A tradition since 1973, the Goat Cook-Off started as a Jaycees fundraiser and has grown to a much bigger event.
