The City Council of the City of Brownwood, Texas, reserves the right to meet in closed, executive session on any of the items listed below should the need arise and if authorized by Title 5, Chapter 551, of the Texas Government Code.

Any citizen who desires to address the City Council on a matter not included on the agenda may do so at this time. The City Council may not deliberate on items presented under this agenda item. To comply with the provisions of the Open Meetings Act, the Council respectfully requests that prior to addressing Council that each person submit a citizen presentation form that is located at the entryway to the Council Chambers, stating your name, address, and topic of presentation. All presentations are subject to a five (5) minute time limit.

Conduct a public hearing on each of the following proposed ordinances and consider each ordinance onfirst reading.

A. An Ordinance on first reading changing the zoning classification for 7.9951 acres being Outlot 366, 367, Acres 1.622, known as 1708 Dublin; Block 2, Lot 6, Acres 0.1148, of the Hart Addition, known as 1706 Dublin; Block 3, Lot Part 1-3, Acres 0.21 of the Hart Addition, known as 1703 Dublin; William H Irions, Survey 52, Abstract 537, Acres 2.19, Outlot 366, Acres 3.6, Outlot 366, Lot 75×150, Acres 0.258 known as 1707 Dublin, from R-2 Two-Family Residential District, C-1 Local Business District, and MH Manufactured Home / Mobile Home District to A-I Agricultural District.

B. An Ordinance on first reading changing the zoning classification for Robert Malone, Survey 48, Abstract 656, Acres 1.688, known as 1617 Wood Street from R-1, Single Family Residential District to RR Residential Rural District.

C. An Ordinance on first reading changing the zoning classification for 1.7147 acres being Coggin Avenue Addition, Block 8, Lot 3 and 4, Part 5, known as 1516 Vine Street, from R-2 Two Family Residential District to A-I Agricultural District.

A. Consider a one-reading Ordinance amending the City’s Civil Service Classification Ordinance authorizing the Fire Chief and Chief of Police to temporarily increase the number of Firefighters or Police Officers during testing for internal promotions.
