Brownwood City Council Agenda Regular Called Meeting 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2013 Council Chambers, City Hall 501 Center Avenue, Brownwood, Texas

The City Council of the City of Brownwood, Texas, reserves the right to meet in closed, executive session on any of the items listed below should the need arise and if authorized by Title 5, Chapter 551, of the Texas Government Code.

The City Council may deliberate and/or act on the following items:

A. Wal-Mart Grant funds to be presented to the Brownwood Fire Department.

B. Guardian EMS to present First Aid kits to the Police Department.

C. Police Department to receive “Recognized Status” for compliance with the Texas Law Enforcement Agency Best Practices Recognition Program.

6. Citizen Presentations Any citizen who desires to address the City Council on a matter not included on the agenda may do so at this time. The City Council may not deliberate on items presented under this agenda item. To comply with the provisions of the Open Meetings Act, the Council respectfully requests that prior to addressing Council that each person submit a citizen presentation form that is located at the entryway to the Council Chambers, stating your name, address, and topic of presentation. All presentations are subject to a five (5) minute time limit.

9. Public Hearing Conduct a public hearing on the following proposed Ordinance and consider Ordinance on first reading.

A. Consider an Ordinance on first reading changing the zoning classification for Banks of the Bayou Subdivision, Lots 1-23, Block 1; being 3.042 acres out of the W.H. Irion Survey 52, Abstract 537, known as 304 -506 Riverside Park Drive from RIB Patio Home Residential District to C 1 Local Business District.

A. Consider appointing members to a flood plain appeal and variance board.

11. Consent Agenda

A. Consider an Ordinance on second and third/final readings to close a 12′ wide alley at 1111 Morris Street in Block 4 of the Woodland Addition, beginning at Morris Street and continuing northeast for approximately 103′.

B. Consider an Ordinance on second and third /final readings approving the FY 2012/2013 budget amendments.

C. Consider cancelling the second regularly scheduled City Council meeting in December -December 24, 2013.
