The City Council of the City of Brownwood, Texas reserves the right to meet in closed executive session on any of the items listed below should the need arise and if authorized by Title 5, Chapter 551, of the Texas Government Code.

B. Consider an Ordinance on first/final reading canvassing votes in the May 9, 2015 General Election, and declaring the results.

C. Statement of Elected Officers – City Secretary

D. Oath of Office – City Secretary (Members seated at podium)

E. Consider an Ordinance on first/final reading ordering a Runoff Election if necessary.

8. Introductions, Announcements, and Recognitions

A. Recognition of outgoing Council

B. Recognition of and presentation by Brownie Troop No. 4044.

9. Proclamations

A. Police Week-May 10-16, 2015

B. Public Works Week-May 17-23, 2015

10. Citizen Presentations

Any citizen who desires to address the City Council on a matter not included on the agenda may do so at this time. The City Council may not deliberate on items presented under this agenda item. To comply with the provisions of the Open Meetings Act, the Council respectfully requests that prior to addressing Council that each person submit a citizen presentation form that is located at the entryway to the Council Chambers, stating your name, address, and topic of presentation. All presentations are subject to a five (5) minute time limit.

A. Consider a recommendation to hire Lisa Dick as the Health Department Administrator.

12. Ordinances and Resolutions

A. Consider an Ordinance on first/final reading amending the Civil Service Ordinance to include a police officer incentive pay program for new police officers and approve a contract to be used for the incentive.

13. Bids

A. Consider awarding a bid to Weldon Wilson Electric in the amount of $72, 104 for electrical work at the Camp Bowie Soccer Complex.

A. Donation for the Senior Citizens Center

B. Police Week – Memorial Service – May 13, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Law Enforcement Center

C. City will be closed for Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, 2015

The Council will convene into a pre-budget workshop following the Council Meeting in the Council Chambers.
