The City Council of the City of Brownwood, Texas, reserves the right to meet in closed, executive session on any of the items listed below should the need arise and if authorized by Title 5, Chapter 551, of the Texas Government Code.

The City Council may deliberate and/or act on the following items:

5. Introductions, Announcements, and Recognitions
A.  The Oath of Office and Law Enforcement Oath of Honor will be given to newly hired Police Officer Robert Lehman by the City Secretary and Police Chief.

 

6. Citizen Presentations

Any citizen who desires to address the City Council on a matter not included on the agenda may do so at this time. The City Council may not deliberate on items presented under this agenda item. To comply with the provisions of the Open Meetings Act, the Council respectfully requests that prior to addressing Council that each person submit a citizen presentation form that is located at the entryway to the Council Chambers, stating your name, address, and topic of presentation. All presentations are subject to a five (5) minute time limit.

A.  Canvass the Election results for the May 7, 2016 Election.

A.  Consider approval of a method of sale for 31 city owned properties.

11.  Ordinances and Resolutions
A.  Consider an Ordinance on first reading for a negotiated settlement between the Atmos Steering Committee (ASCS) and Atmos Energy Corp., Mid-Tex Division regarding the company’s 2016 rate review mechanism filings.
B.  Consider a Resolution revising the City’s Organizational Chart by moving the Purchasing Department Employees to the Finance Department and eliminating the Department Head Position of Director of Purchasing.

12.  Agreements and Contracts
A.  Consider authorizing the City Manager to sign a provider service agreement with Molina Healthcare of Texas, Inc.
B.  Consider authorizing the Mayor to sign an agreement for the painting of a static historic aircraft at the Brownwood Regional Airport.

13Bids

A.  Consider awarding a bid to resurface the Camp Bowie Aquatic Center Pool.

14.  Reports
A.  Update from Health Department on mosquito control.
B.  Willis Creek Channelization Study Presentations by the Corp of Engineers and Speak for the Creek, May 24, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at the Depot.

15.  Workshop
The City Council may convene into the Haynes Conference Room for the Workshop session.
A.  Pre-Budget Workshop Session, including, without limitation, Council goal setting and other related issues.
