The City Council of the City of Brownwood, Texas, reserves the right to meet in closed, executive session on any of the items listed below should the need arise and if authorized by Title 5, Chapter 551, of the Texas Government Code.
The City Council may deliberate and/or act on the following items:

5. Introductions, Announcements, and RecognitionsA. Recognition from the City of Comanche for assistance in Animal Control.
6. Citizen Presentations
Any citizen who desires to address the City Council on a matter not included on the agenda may do so at this time. The City Council may not deliberate on items presented under this agenda item. To comply with the provisions of the Open Meetings Act, the Council respectfully requests that prior to addressing Council that each person submit a citizen presentation form that is located at the entryway to the Council Chambers, stating your name, address, and topic of presentation. All presentations are subject to a five (5) minute time limit.

9. Public Hearing
Conduct a public hearing on the following proposed Ordinances and consider on first reading.
A. conduct a Public Hearing and consider an Ordinance on first reading closing Sixth Street between Coggin Avenue and Avenue E and the alley from Sixth Street to Seventh Street between Coggin Avenue and Avenue E, located in Block 1, Lots 7-12, Clark Addition and Block 30, Lost 1-12 of the Ford Addition.
B. Conduct a Public Hearing and consider an Ordinance on first reading to close an undeveloped alley located between 1107 and 1111 Belle Plain Avenue, between Lot 4, Block 17, and Lot 1, Block 18, of the Brookesmith Brownwood Addition, beginning at Belle Plain Avenue continuing Southwest 142’to an alley.
10. Consent Agenda
A. Consider an Ordinance on second and third/final readings closing an alley located between 1108 and 1110 West Baker, being Lot 1, Block 21, and Lot 4, Block 20 of the Brookesmith Brownwood Subdivision, beginning at West Baker and continuing 150’ Northeast to an alley.
11. Agreements and Contracts
A. Consider authorizing the City Manager to sign an agreement with a real estate broker to sell 31 City owned properties within the city limits.
12. Appointments
A. Consider appointments to the Brownwood Municipal Development District (BMDD) Board of Directors.
13. Reports
A. The City of Brownwood will be closed Monday, July 4, 2016 for Independence Day.
B. Chief Nichols wearing in, July 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Law Enforcement Center.
