The City Council of the City of Brownwood, Texas, reserves the right to meet in closed, executive session on any of the items listed below should the need arise and if authorized by Title 5, Chapter 551, of the Texas Government Code.

The City Council may deliberate and/or act on the following items:

6. Citizen Presentations

Any citizen who desires to address the City Council on a matter not included on the agenda may do so at this time. The City Council may not deliberate on items presented under this agenda item. To comply with the provisions of the Open Meetings Act, the Council respectfully requests that prior to addressing Council that each person submit a citizen presentation form that is located at the entryway to the Council Chambers, stating your name, address, and topic of presentation. All presentations are subject to a five (5) minute time limit.

9. Requests and Presentations

A. Consider a request from the Central Texas Veterans Memorial Committee to move the WWII Veterans Memorial and flag pole from Coggin Park to Camp Bowie Memorial Park to be included in the Central Texas Veterans Memorial.

10. Ordinances and Resolutions

A. Consider a Resolution authorizing the Texas Coalition for Affordable Power, Inc. (TCAP) to negotiate an electric supply agreement for electric deliveries for a five year period beginning January 1, 2018, authorizing TCAP to act as the City’s agent for such negotiations, authorizing signatories on the electric supply agreement and committing to budget and purchase electricity for the Years 2018 through 2022 to meet the City’s electrical needs.

11. Agreements and Contracts

A. Consider a purchase agreement with American Ramp Company for Skate Park equipment and installation and authorize the City Manager to sign said agreement.

B. Consider authorizing the City to partner with the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce, Brown County, the City of Early, Brown County Water Improvement District, and the Brownwood Economic Development Corporation and enter into an agreement with Rural Issues Consulting for services during the Texas Legislative Session.

A. Council may convene into a Workshop in the Haynes Conference Room to discuss the Municipal Development District (MDD) Election, street projects, and future planning.
