Brownwood City Council Agenda – Regular Called Meeting, 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 13, 2013 – Council Chambers, City Hall 501 Center Avenue, Brownwood, Texas
The City Council of the City of Brownwood, Texas, reserves the right to meet in closed, executive session on any of the items listed below should the need arise and if authorized by Title 5, Chapter 551 , of the Texas Government Code.
The City Council may deliberate and/or act on the following items:

Any citizen who desires to address the City Council on a matter not included on the agenda may do so at this time. The City Council may not deliberate on items presented under this agenda item. To comply with the provisions of the Open Meetings Act, the Council respectfully requests that prior to addressing Council that each person submit a citizen presentation form that is located at the entryway to the Council Chambers, stating your name, address, and topic of presentation. All presentations are subject to a five (5) minute time limit.

A. Consider an Ordinance on second and third I final readings approving revisions to the Drought Contingency Plan.
B. Consider approving amendments to the Texas Department of Aging and Disability
Services Contracts, Title XX 2012/2013, Title XX 2013/2014, Title XIX 2013/2014 and authorize the Mayor to sign the 2013/2014 vendor’s agreement for Home Delivered Meals with the Texas Department of Aging and Disability.
C. Consider a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement with TxDOT to close various streets and intersections for the Brownwood Reunion activities.
D. Consider a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement with TxDOT for temporary closure of FM 2524 (Austin Avenue) from Fisk Avenue to Center Avenue for the Howard Payne Homecoming Parade on October 5, 2013.

A. Consider approving two amendments to the Meet and Confer Agreement between the City of Brownwood and the Brownwood Municipal Police Association (BMPA).
B. Consider approval of contract with Brasher and Company for Kohler’s solid waste disposal.

C. Consider approving the sale of 3.54 acres of land located on FM 45 to the Brownwood Economic Development Corporation pursuant to Local Government Code Section 272.001(b)(4).

A. Consider a Resolution to lease property at 506 East Adams Street to be used as a parking lot for adjacent business and authorize the City Manager to execute a Lease Agreement.
B. Consider a Resolution in support of TML legislating to change the Biggert-Waters Flood Insurance Reform Act of 2012.
