Brownwood Art Association will host their monthly “Muse and Merlot” event from 7:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. on January 24th at the Art Center, located at 215 Fisk in Brownwood.
“Egyptian Curtain” by Henri Matisse will be the featured project. According to organizers, there are still a few spots available.
Created in July 2013, Muse & Merlot offers residents the chance to create their very own work of art by following the step-by-step instructions of the guest instructor. Each month will feature a different work, which will range from all time classics like Henri Matisse’s “Egyptian Curtain” (pictured left) to unique creations by the instructor.
For $35 a person, participants will be supplied with the needed items to create their own 16×20 masterpiece. Participants are encouraged to bring their favorite snacks along with their favorite beverages.
Seating for Muse & Merlot is limited to 20, and anyone interested in reserving their seat for the upcoming party can do so by contacting Tommy Munster at Brownwoodart@gmail.com.
