The Brownwood Art Association held its 9th Annual Chili Luncheon and Miniature Art Sale on Friday at the Art Center in Downtown Brownwood with some delicious food and beautiful artwork on display.
Dozens of pieces of artwork were on display and for sale during the event, and proceeds from the sale benefit the Art Association and Art Center. The artwork featured was created by local artists.
The event draws a big crowd each year with many arriving early to pick their favorite piece of artwork to buy before they are sold out. The event was postponed one week because of last Friday’s winter storm and icy roads.
The association funds a scholarship to aid area art students who major in art, donate art related books to the public library as memorials and continues to host art exhibits, classes and events throughout the year.
