What better way to enjoy this beautiful weather than playing in the Garden? The Brownwood Area Community Garden invites all area garden enthusiasts, experienced or not, to “Visit or Volunteer” at the Garden this Saturday, Feb. 26, from 10am to 1pm.
If you’ve never been to the Community Garden, come by and see our raised beds, rainwater harvesting system and our new orchard and berry patch. And of course, like any garden, there’s always a chore or two to be done, and volunteers are always welcome. Tools are provided.
The Brownwood Area Community Garden is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing area food pantries with fresh, naturally grown produce, and also offers gardening space to families and organizations. The Community Garden is located at 1514 Dublin Street in Brownwood, behind the Central Texas Opportunities, Inc. offices. For further information call 325-784-8453 or 325-641-9029.
