Brownwood Area Community Garden Grand Opening will be held this Sunday, March 21, 2010 from 1:00-2:30pm. The Garden is located at 1514 Dublin Street, behind the Salvation Army.
There will be planting & Blessing of the beds and refreshments.
The Brownwood Area Community Garden will give the community an opportunity to help grow organic produce without chemicals to be donated to local food pantries. In addition to providing for a need in the community, the garden will also serve as an educational center to learn about organic gardening, providing horticultural activities for scout, church, school groups and more.
