Brownwood News – The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for the Comanche County Medical Center on Wednesday, February 6th.

 

Comanche County Medical Center was created by consolidating the former Comanche Community Hospital and the De Leon Hospital, and was opened in July 2005. Nestled in rural Comanche County, CCMC is a 25 bed Critical Access Facility with state of the art amenities such as, but not limited to:

MRI, 64 slice CT Scan, Nuclear Medicine, Digital 3-D Tomosynthesis Mammography, Cutting Edge Lab Analyzers including PCR Biofire Technology, Level 4 trauma designated emergency department and Sleep Studies.

Their Surgery Department is equipped to perform anything from total joint replacements, Podiatry, general surgeries, Endoscopy (Colonoscopies and EGDs), Cataract extractions and wound care. They also offer placement of semi-permanent venous access for chemotherapy and long –term antibiotic treatment (Mediports and PowerPorts).
