Brownwood and Early ISDs will begin accepting transfer applications for students wishing to transfer into BISD or EISD for the 2013-2014 school year.
Texas law provides that students must attend school in the district in which they reside, unless they have requested an annual transfer into another district. Transfer applications should be completed during the designated time set aside for transfer requests. The transfer must be officially approved by the receiving district’s Board of Trustees.
April is the designated month for both Early and Brownwood schools. In order for the Board of Trustees at BISD and EISD to accept transfer applications at their May meetings, transfer applications must be received by Tuesday, April 30th.Brownwood ISD transfers will be accepted for grades kindergarten through grade twelve. Transfer forms are available at the BISD Central Office Building located at 2707 Southside Drive between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. According to officials, current transfer students (school year 2012-2013) must fill out a new request each April. Early ISD transfer applications are available at the superintendent’s office at 101 Turtle Creek, in Early, Texas during the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday – Friday.
