Thursday marked the second day of the 60th Annual Brown County Youth Fair which featured the Market Lamb and Swine shows.
The Market Lamb show started shortly after 8:00am and was judged by Charles Seidensticker of Ira, Texas who is an ag teacher. Seidensticker was last year’s judge as well and again commented on the quality of the animals which is the result of hours of work and dedication by the local youth.
Next came the Market Swine which started at 1:00pm and was judged by David Wright of Roundrock, Texas who is the Operation Military Kids Director and works with kids that live off base whose parents are in the National Guard or Reserves, helping them with their animal projects.
There was a huge show of support for the participants Thursday. The crowd nearly filled the stands during the lamb show and was standing room only for the swine show.
As the swine show was coming to an end, the Fashion Show began at 7:00pm. Entrants were judged on their garment’s appearance, construction and for modeling their garment.
Watch for full results in each division to be posted all weekend.
