Brown County Water Improvement District – Meeting of the Board of Directors

To Discuss, Consider, Advise and\or Take Formal Action in the Following Items:

Meeting Agenda

1.            Call to Order;

2.            Pledge of Allegiance;

3.            Invocation;

4.            Approval of Minutes of meeting held in August 11, 2015;

5.            Approval of claims and accounts report;

6.            Approval of investment and financial reports;

7.            Citizens Presentations: Any citizen desiring to address the Board of Directors regarding a matter not included on agenda may do so at this time.  The Board of Directors may not deliberate on items presented under this agenda item.  To comply with the provisions of the Open Meetings Act, the Board of Directors respectfully requests that prior to addressing the Board,   each person submit a citizens presentation form located at the  entrance lobby, stating your name, address and topic of presentation.  All presentations are limited to five (5) minutes time limit;

8.            Discuss and take necessary action regarding wake surfing and wake boarding on Lake Brownwood;

9.            Review request from Freese & Nichols regarding west treatment plant rehab project and take necessary action;

10.          Discuss and take necessary action regarding Phase 1 of the Trinity Aquifer study and proposal on Phase 2 regarding the same from Collier Consulting;

11.          Consider approval of request from Charles Smith for the purchase of Lots 3, 4 & 5 at Peninsula Subdivision from the District;

12.          Approval of reconnection of a 2” water connection for Frank Castaneda located on  FM 3254, Brownwood, Texas;

13.          Declare surplus the following: a 1979 JD 710 backhoe and six (6) 9mm service pistols;

14.          Discuss and take necessary action regarding painting the 1990 1-mgd storage tank and   upgrade the treatment plant software with the program Wonderware, both as a part of the west treatment plant rehab;

15.          Consider request from District employee, Robert Solis, for the loan of ten (10) days sick leave;

16.          Hear General Manager report regarding current events, projects and lake conditions;

17.          Adjournment.
