Wednesday, November 21st

  • At 6:25 p.m. Sheriff’s Deputies were patrolling the area of CR 153 and CR 235 when they observed a silver Kia Soul and initiated a traffic stop on CR 153 and CR 194 on the vehicle for no license plate light. They made contact with the driver, who was then arrested for Driving While Intoxicated with a Child Passenger. The suspect was transported to the Brown County Jail and released to jail staff. A report was made.
  • A Sheriff’s Deputy got a call of a goat and sheep at 6901 CCR 136. The goat and sheep were transported to the Sheriff’s Office holding pens. 
  • Thursday, November 22nd
  • A Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a report of a burglary of a building. They met with the complainant who is watching her moms home while she is out of state. The complainant said that all three locks to the three storage buildings were cut off. Information was gathered and a report was made.
  •  A Sheriff’s Deputy performed a traffic stop on a black Mazda CX-3 by the intersection of Austin Avenue and FM 2126 for defective license plate light. Due to the smell of marijuana, an investigation was conducted. Due to the investigation, one of the vehicles occupants was placed in custody for Possession of Marijuana and brought to the Brown County Jail. Four other occupants were released from the scene.

 

Saturday, November 24th

  • At around 12:07 a.m. a Sheriff’s Deputy contacted a blue passenger car for a parking violation on CR 257 at Ten Mile Crossing. The driver and passenger were both arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance, after less than 1 gram of methamphetamine was found in a baggie in plain view in the driver’s side door handle and a glass meth pipe was found in the center console. The passenger additionally attempted to dispose of a second meth pipe while in the back of a patrol car, and she was additionally charged with Tamper/Fabricate Physical Evidence.
  • A Sheriff’s Deputy met with a complainant who advised that a suspect had been texting them numerous times and threatening violence.  A report was generated.
  • A Sheriff’s Deputy met with a complainant at the L.E.C. in reference to a harassment report and investigation.  Complainant stated that the suspect had been calling and texting her at all times of the day and night.  
  • At about 6:38 p.m. a Sheriff’s Deputy responded to Belfast in regards to a disorderly subject. After arriving on scene and investigating the incident a suspect was arrested for assaulting his stepfather, brother, and mother. The suspect was transported to the Brown County Jail where he was released to the jail staff for three counts of Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Violence.

Monday, November 26th

  • At approximately 02:24 am a Sheriff’s Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a tan Toyota passenger car for speeding in the 200 block of Hwy 67 W. in Brownwood. After making contact with the driver, he stated that he had a couple of beers before driving. Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were performed and the driver was ultimately arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
