Theft <$100, Enhanced – On Thursday, 4/11/2019, at approximately 1:00 pm, a white male, later identified as Thomas Jason Edmondson, was leaving the Brown County Courthouse. Edmondson stole the Texas flag belonging to the Courthouse Security, which was used for a landmark. Deputy Belvin, used the Courthouse Security cameras to determine who stole the flag and was able to get him identified by showing screenshot of the white male to the District Clerk who waited on him that day.

Assault Causes Bodily Inj – On 5-3-2019, at about 10:08 hrs, Deputy Byron Langley, arrived at the Brown County Jail located at 1050 W Commerce. This was in regards to an inmate on inmate assault. The deputy spoke to the victim, who stated he was “jumped” by BRIAN HARRISON SIMS (Suspect), JASON ROSAS (Suspect), PETER ANTONIO ACEVEADO (Suspect), and ALEXANDER JOSE MARTINEZ (Suspect).

Possession of CS PG 1 <1 gram – Possession of Marijuana <2oz – On 5/3/19, at approximately 9:01 PM, Deputy Hopson, made a suspicious stop on a 2009 Ford F-250 in the 300 blk of Live Oak Dr. The deputy made contact with MICHAEL JACKSON (W/M) and KAYLA LINDLEY (W/F). JACKSON was subsequently arrested for numerous warrants and additionally charged with Possession of CS PG 1 <1gram. LINDLEY was subsequently arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana <2 oz; to wit: 31 grams. Both were taken to the Brown County Jail and released to jail staff.

Forgery – On May 03, 2019, at 11:01 AM,  Deputy Jayson Bastardo, was dispatched a forgery call, which could be handle by public service. The deputy made contact with the complainant who stated a former employee, forged her checks. A report was taken.

Criminal Trespass Warning – On 05/04/2019, Sgt. Joe Thomas, responded to Flatrock Park. This was in reference to a report of Disorderly Conduct. The manager of the park advised he had asked several individuals to leave, but they refused. After further investigation, a suspect was issued a Criminal Trespass Warning for the park and released. Report Made.

Stalking – On May 4, 2019, Deputy Toby Mathis, responded to a report of an unwanted person. The complainant called to report her ex-husband, was at her residence and would not leave. He left prior to the deputy’s arrival. Information was gathered for a report and further investigation.

Assault Bodily Injury – On 05/04/2019, Deputy Mason Fabbiani took a report off an assault in the Brown County Jail. An inmate claimed he was assaulted and in fear of his life, but requested a lawyer before being questioned about the incident.

Burglary of Habitation – On 5/5/19, at approximately 2:54 PM,  Deputy Hopson, responded to CR 546. This was for a burglary report. The victim advised 7 chicken nuggets were taken from her home. The incident is still being investigated.

Possession Controlled Substance PG1 1g>4g – On May 5, 2019, Deputy Toby Mathis, was travelling north bound on Hwy 279 in the 12000 block. The deputy observed a vehicle facing south bound in the bar ditch not moving. He turned around on the vehicle to check the welfare of the driver. The driver was identified as MENDENHALL, CHINA GRACE. MENDENHALL said she was in just in a wreck. DPS was notified and responded, but MENDENHALL refused to have the wreck worked by DPS. While speaking with MENDENHALL, the deputy observed a broken glass pipe consistent with smoking of methamphetamine. A probable cause search was done and 2 syringes with liquid methamphetamine and 2 crystal shards were located along with a weighing scale with methamphetamine residue. The total weight of the methamphetamine seized was 2.0grams. MENDENHALL was charged with Possession Controlled Substance PG 1 1g>4g and transported to Brown County Jail without further incident.
