On Friday, March 8, 2019, at approximately 11:15 a.m., Deputy Scotty Burke, was dispatched to the above location. This was in reference to an illegal dumping report.  The report will follow.

On 3/11/19, at approximately 12:54 PM, I, Hopson, responded to 1050 W. Commerce for a burglary report. The incident is still being investigated.

On Friday, March 08, 2019, at approximately 1:34 PM, Deputy Hammonds, was dispatched to CR 261, Zephyr, TX, 76890. This was in reference to a cow, which had jumped a fence and was now on the property. On Monday, March 11, 2019, the cow was taken to the Brown County holding pins. A report was made.

On Monday, March 11, 2019, at approximately 6:40 PM, Deputy Hammonds, conducted a traffic stop on a 4 door Lincoln. This was in the Underwood Cafeteria parking lot located at W Commerce, Brownwood, TX. During the traffic stop the passenger, DEVONTE EVETTS, was issued a Criminal Trespass Warning. A report was made.

On Wednesday, March 6, 2019, Deputy Scotty Burke, was in the area of Brin St. and Ave. C. Officers have been investigating a property, which is owned by the county, where there has been 1 RV and 2 mobile homes parked and abandoned for some time.  The report will follow. 

On 3/7/2019, Cpl. Taylor Fletcher, responded to E. Hwy. 377 to an unwanted person acting strangely. The suspect, Darrius Rivers, was found walking along the highway in an altered mental state. Officers transported him for mental evaluation. Rivers later forced his way from the patrol car, and was forcibly detained for his own safety. Rivers was later taken to the hospital for medical evaluation. While there, he was discovered to be in possession of 0.1 grams of methamphetamine that had been hidden in his pants. Rivers was cleared by hospital staff and arrested for Possession Controlled Substance. A meth pipe fell out of Rivers’ pants at the jail and he was additionally charged with Tamper/Fabricate Physical Evidence.

On Friday, March 8, 2019, at approximately 11:15 AM, Deputy Scotty Burke, was investigating other environmental crimes in the area, when he observed several violations at the above address.  Contact was made with the property owners.  The report will follow.

On March 08, 2019, at 3:39 PM, Deputy Jayson Bastardo, was dispatched to 1050 W Commerce (Law Enforcement Center). This was in regards to duty to striking an unattended vehicle. The complainant said an UNKNOWN person backed up into his vehicle in the 3M parking lot. A report was taken.

On 03/09/2019, Deputy Mason Fabbiani performed a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding near Cross Cut. During the traffic stop a small amount of burnt marijuana was located, along with approximately 2.25 grams of THC. Casey Wade Parks was placed in custody and brought to Brown County Jail.

On 3-9-2019, at about 1:04 PM, Byron Langley, arrived at CR 603 in Brownwood, TX. This was in regards to a burglary. I spoke to the victim, who stated someone had entered her residence and taken property from inside the residence.

On Saturday, March 9, 2019, at approximately 6:51 PM, Deputy Hammonds, was dispatched to the Sheriff’s Office. This was in reference to a Sexual Assault, which had occurred at CR 604, Brownwood, TX 76801. A report was made.  

On March 9, 2019, at approximately 10:38 PM, Deputy Jose Rodriguez initiated a traffic stop on a maroon passenger car on Hwy 183 N / County Road 334 for defective license plate lights. The driver of the vehicle provided me with a fictitious name. After further investigation, the driver of the vehicle was arrested for 2 warrants and Failure to Identify, Class A Misdemeanor.

On 3-10-2109, at about 3:24 PM, Deputy Byron Langley, arrived at W Main Blvd in Brownwood, TX. This was in regards to a theft. Officers spoke to the disabled victim,  who stated his son-in-law, had taken his wallet and other property from his residence.

On Sunday, March 10, 2019, at about 7:45 PM, Deputy Simpson responded to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center for a male subject, who had a gunshot wound. Deputy Simpson spoke to the victim. He stated he and his nephew were shooting a semi-auto rifle at the gun range on FM 2126 when the rifle jammed and then a round was struck by the firing pin causing him to be struck in the neck by a shard of the casing. A report was made.
