Brownwood News – The following reports for service were released to the local media by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, October 2.
On September 30, 2019, at approximately 7:20 pm, a Deputy was dispatched to an unwanted person call on County Road 201. The suspect had already left the scene. The Deputy contacted the complainant who wished to issue a Criminal Trespass Warning. The suspect was later located and issued the Criminal Trespass Warning.
A man reported he believes he was scammed out of $1,500. The man reports he purchased three (3) Wal Mart gift cards in the amount of $500 each. The man provided the gift card redemption codes to a person on the telephone.
On October 1, 2019, a Deputy was dispatched to an address on County Road 382 in regards to harassment. During the investigation, the Deputy learned a man threatened to assault another man. A report was taken.
