On 2/22/19, at approximately 2:17 PM, Deputy Hopson, responded to FM 585 for a Cruelty to Non-livestock Animals report. The incident is still being investigated.
On February 22, 2019, Deputy Toby Mathis, conducted a traffic stop on a green Jeep Cherokee. The driver, CUNNINGHAM, TONY, was placed in custody for possession of controlled substance after a consent search.
On February 22, 2019, Deputy Toby Mathis, responded to Cherokee Dr. for a report of terroristic threat. The victim said that the suspect threatened to beat him up. The victim wanted a criminal trespass issued to the suspect.
On Friday, February 22, 2019, at about 11:32 PM, Deputy Simpson stopped a tan Mercury Mountaineer, displaying an expired registration. The driver’s license is suspended with multiple convictions of driving while license invalid. The driver was arrested for Driving While License Invalid.
On 02/23/2019, Sgt Joe Thomas, was dispatched to the Brown County Jail in reference to an Assault. Dispatch advised that a female inmate had been assaulted by another female inmate. Report made.
On February 24, 2019, Deputy Toby Mathis, responded to FM 2126 for a report of Criminal Mischief. The victim reported her window had been damaged. Information was gathered and a report was made.
On Monday, February 25, 2019, at approximately 7:20 a.m., Deputy Scotty Burke, was dispatched to CR 304 in reference to a criminal mischief call. Some unknown suspect had struck the mailboxes and posts at that intersection.
On Monday, February 25, 2019, at approximately 11:05 a.m., Deputy Scotty Burke, was dispatched to Sleepy Oaks Ln. in Early, TX. This was in reference to a disorderly conduct report. The complainant advised that earlier in the morning he heard 4-5 shots fly past his head and hit the trees on the property he was working on. Complainant said this has been ongoing for some time. The property owner, where the shots had been coming from, was warned of his actions last week. The report will follow.
On February 25, 2019, Deputy Toby Mathis, conducted a motorist assist in the block of FM 2559. The driver/owner of the vehicle was identified as BROWN, JEREMY. A strong odor of fresh marijuana was observed coming from the vehicle. After a probable cause search of the vehicle, a total of 24 grams of fresh marijuana was located. BROWN, JEREMY was placed in custody for Possession of Marijuana.
