Brownwood News – The Brown County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following calls on May 11 and 12.
On May 11, Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to a report of a theft. He made contact with the complainant by phone who advised his cousin had stolen a compound fishing bow from his residence on Hightop. A report was made.
On Monday, May 11, at approximately 13:52, Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to an address on Cullins Street in Brownwood. This was in reference to a criminal mischief report and investigation.
On Tuesday, May 12, at about 06:49 hours, Deputy Byron Langley arrived at FM 1689 in May, Texas. This was in regards to a burglary. Deputy Langley spoke to the victim who stated he believes another man may have gone into his vehicle without his consent and took a pistol from the console.
On Tuesday, May 12, at approximately 9:05 am, Deputy Scotty Burke spoke with a complainant by phone in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle report and investigation on N. Highway 183 in May.
On May 12, Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to Lake Brownwood in reference to disorderly conduct. A complainant advised two employees caused a disturbance after being terminated. A request was made for a Criminal Trespass Warning and a report was made.
On Tuesday, May 12, at approximately 13:22, Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to CR 334 in reference to a scam call and report.
On May 12, Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to FM 2525 to a report of Theft. The complainant advised her ex-boyfriend had stolen a UTV. A report was made.
