Brownwood News – The Brown County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following calls for service between May 7 and May 10.

On May 7, Deputy Joe Thomas was sent to the 2200 block of CR 180 to a report of Illegal Dumping.  Complainant advised several mattresses were dumped on the county road.  A report was made.

On May 8, Deputy Andre Smoot was dispatched to an assault on Bray in Brownwood.  He spoke with the complainant and attempted to make contact with the suspect.   Deputy Smoot completed a report for further investigation.

On May 8, at around 18:21 hours, Deputy Ashley Harris responded to a call for Illegal Dumping on Brin Street in Brownwood.  A report was made.

On May 8, at approximately 21:56 hours, Cpl. Hopson responded to County Road 563 for a Duty on Striking Fixed Object report.  The incident is still being investigated.

 

On Sunday, May 10, at 10:11 hours, Deputy Jayson Bastardo was dispatched to a call in regards to an animal bite on County Road 130.  Dispatcher advised they received a call from Comanche County Medical Center advising an individual had gotten bitten by an animal in Brown County.  Deputy Bastardo made contact with the woman bitten.  She said her son’s pot-bellied pig had bitten her.  An information report was taken.
