Brownwood News – The following calls for service were responded to by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department between April 15 and April 20th.
On April 15, Deputy Saydie Hammonds was notified of an illegal dumping at the corner of FM 2632 and FM 3021. A report was made.
On Friday, April 17, at approximately 13:00, Deputy Scotty Burke was contacted by a complainant. This was in reference to a horse at County Road 291 in Early.
On Friday, April 17, at about 18:12 hours, Deputy Simpson responded to County Road 551. This was in regards to a burglary which had already occurred. A man stated a woman had stolen multiple items from the residence after being evicted from the property. A report was made.
On Saturday, April 18, at about 08:39 hours, Deputy Byron Langley, arrived in the 2700 block on West Main Blvd. This was in regards to a domestic disturbance. Deputy Langley spoke to a woman who stated her boyfriend broke a window during a verbal argument.
On Saturday, April 18, at approximately 11:00 am, Deputy Scotty Burke spoke with a complainant by phone in reference to his vehicle getting struck at a local store on Highway 279 North.
On Sunday, April 19, at approximately 9:52 am, Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to Heartland Mall on Early Blvd. This was in reference to a loose livestock report and investigation.
On Sunday, April 19, at approximately 11:20 am, Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to FM 586 in Brookesmith. This was in reference to a disorderly conduct report and investigation.
On Sunday, April 19, at approximately 14:54, Deputy Scotty Burke met with a complainant. This was to issue a trespass warning for an address on FM 586 in Brookesmith. The complainant went on to say a gun was pointed at her during the incident.
On Sunday, April 19, at about 23:17 hours, Brown County deputies responded to County Road 199. This was in regards to a male subject claiming to be hit over the head by a brick. While in route another subject called and advised two males were physically fighting in the yard. Deputy Simpson arrived on scene first and found a man covered in blood standing at the edge of the county road by a suspect. Deputy Simpson later learned the suspect had a verbal argument with a female on scene and had attempted to enter the man’s residence by attempting to push the man out of the way. Deputy Simpson also advised that during the domestic, the man had possibly struck the woman in the head with a brick. A report was made.
On April 20, Deputy Mason Fabbiani was dispatched to an address on FM 45. This was in regards to getting a Criminal Trespass Warning issued for another subject. The suspect was contacted and issued the CTW. A report has been issued.
