Brownwood News – The Brown County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following calls on April 15 and 16.
On April 15, at around 21:32 hours, Deputy Ashley Harris responded to a call for trespassing of a suspicious person at County Road 542. While searching the area, a second caller advised the suspect, a female, was located at County Road 546. During an investigation by Deputy Harris, it was discovered the suspect assaulted the home owner. She was arrested for Assault, Possession of Controlled Substance PG<1 gram, and Possession of Marijuana 2 oz. or less.
On April 15, at approximately 23:27 hours, Cpl. Hopson was dispatched to Brownwood Regional Medical Center. This was for a gunshot victim. The incident was documented in a report.
On Thursday, April 16, at 12:38 hours, Deputy Jayson Bastardo was dispatched to the Brown County Jail. This was in regards to found narcotics while in-taking a male inmate into the jail. Upon arrival, Deputy Bastardo spoke with Cpl. Amanda Pace. Pace said while inventoring the male inmate’s property, while he was in custody, she located a crystal-like substance in a small clear baggy. The substance was field tested and tested positive for methamphetamine. He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1<1 Gram. The methamphetamines were later weighed at .02 grams wit packaging. A report was taken.
On April 16, at around 22:58, Deputy Ashley Harris was dispatched to Clover Leaf Drive. This was for a burglary of a habitation. A report was made.
