Brownwood News – The Brown County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following calls.

On Monday, March 30, at approximately 9:33 am, Deputy Scotty Burke met with a complainant on FM 585 North in Bangs.  This was in reference to someone attempting to open up credit accounts in her name without her permission.

On Monday, March 30, at about 13:40 hours, Deputy Byron Langley arrived at Chaparral Drive in Brownwood.  This was in regards to missing livestock.  Deputy Langley spoke to a man who stated he was missing two male Boer Spanish Goats from his property.

On March 30, Deputy Taylor Fletcher received a report that a dairy owner County Road 285 in Blanket had paid $33,136.00 for cows.  This was to an online buyer which appeared to be a part of an internet scam.

On 03/31/2020 at around 16:19 hours,  Deputy Ashley Harris responded to a verbal altercation at Sportsman Dr. A Criminal Trespass Warning was requested and signed by the owner. A report was made.
