The Brown County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following calls for service in recent days.
On Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at approximately 16:54, a Deputy and other units were dispatched to an address on Jane Ellen in Brownwood. This was in reference to an assault report and investigation. The report will follow.
On June 5, 2019, at about 10:37 hours, a Deputy and Lieutenant arrived at County Road 291 in Brownwood in regards to a suspicious person. A suspect was located on the property and detained. The remnants of a meth pipe, with residue, were located in the vehicle. The man was arrested. He was also charged with Burglary of a Building for unlawfully entering a storage building on the property and removing a ceiling fan. It was also discovered the vehicle he was operating was determined to have been stolen from a residence in San Saba County. He was also charged with Unauthorized Use of Vehicle.
On Wednesday, June 5, 2019, a Lieutenant was dispatched to meet with a walk-in. Contact was made with a woman who reported Identity Theft. Another subject was listed as a suspect.
On Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at about 12:39 pm, a Deputy was dispatched to County Road 270 in Zephyr in reference to a credit card abuse report investigation. A report will follow.
