Brown County Commissioners unanimously approved promotions within the Brown County Sheriff’s Office at their regular meeting of the court on Monday morning.
Captain Vance Hill was promoted to the office of Chief Deputy to fill the vacancy left by the retirement of Chief Deputy Bobby Duvall earlier this month.
James Stroope was promoted to Captain to fill the vacancy left by Hill’s promotion.
In other matters on Monday’s agenda:
*No action was taken on a burn ban.*Commissioner Gary Worley, Precinct 1 received approval to purchase a 2013 vibrating roller through the Buy Board.
*Commissioner Worley received approval of right of way acquisition, County Road 225 at the Dulan Bridge.
