For the second time in three days, Brown County Sheriff’s Deputies successfully executed a tactical drug search warrant. This time the drug raid took place at a residence in the 500 block of Victoria Street in Brownwood. As a result of the search warrant, deputies arrested 34-year-old Michael Lynn Walls and 31-year-old Jeannie Rebecca Monk after seizing methamphetamine and stolen property. The search and arrest warrant was signed by County Judge Ray West.
When deputies executed the warrant at the residence on Wednesday morning, they found that the front entrances were barricaded from the inside according to Sheriff Bobby Grubbs. Deputies forcibly entered the residence where Walls and Monk were arrested without incident and no one else was at the residence at the time. Sheriff’s Deputies and assisting officers seized a significant amount methamphetamine and stolen property. Evidence supportive of the distribution of methamphetamine was also seized.
According to Sheriff Bobby Grubbs, this investigation remains ongoing and additional arrests are expected. Deputies are continuing the investigation with the assistance and cooperation of the WCTICTF (drug task force) and the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Grubbs said that Walls had been targeted with search warrants by the drug task force and the Sheriff’s Office two other times in 2009. He also remains the focus of an ongoing investigation by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office for trafficking in methamphetamine and stolen property.
