Brownwood News – The Brown County Sheriff’s Department, on February 10, responded to Cherokee Drive in May, Texas. Deputy Greg Parrott, along with a mental health crisis interventionist, met with a man at his residence. This engagement was to assess his mental state. This evaluation followed an incident over the weekend which resulted in him being arrested. He was determined to not be in crisis and did not meet criteria to receive services from Center for Life Resources.
On February 11, Deputy Smoot, accompanied by Brown County Probation Office, went to a residence on County road 344 in Early, Texas to perform a probation search. During the search, drug narcotics and syringes were discovered. The male suspect was placed under arrest and transported to jail.
