Brownwood News – The Brown County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following calls for service:

On Thursday, June 6, 2019, an S.O. Lieutenant spoke with a woman in regards to a stolen truck.  After speaking to her, it was determined this was a civil issue which possibly could turn criminal at a later date.  A report was taken for documentation.

On Wednesday, June 19, 2019, an S.O. Lieutenant met with a woman in regards to five (5) checks that had been stolen from her check book.  Two of the checks had been passed.  A report was taken.  A man is being listed as a suspect.

 

On June 20, 2019, at approximately 3:34 am, a Deputy was dispatched to the Law Enforcement Center in regards to a white powdery substance being found inside a jail cell.  A report was made.

On June 19, 2019, at approximately 1723 hours, a Deputy responded to CR 291 for a hit and run.  The incident is still being investigated.

On June 20, 2019, at approximately 20:43, a Deputy was dispatched to Main Street in Blanket, Texas.  This was in regards to disorderly conduct.  A report was made.
