Brownwood News – The Brown County Sheriff’s Department has responded to numerous calls in recent days. The following call sheet was released to the media on Monday, September 30.
On September 23, 2019, a Deputy was dispatched to the 1100 block of County Road 146. This was on a report of a trash barrel that was dumped. A report was made.
On September 26, 2019, at 13:12 hours, a Deputy was dispatched to the Law Enforcement Center. This was for a walk-in to a burglary. The Deputy spoke with a woman who said she went to her sister’s residence on Chaparral Drive and the residence had been burglarized. A report was taken.
On Friday, September 27, at approximately 13:00 hours, a Deputy met with a complainant at the LEC. This was in reference to a theft report and investigation on 7th Street in Brownwood.
A woman reported she was assaulted by a man. The individuals were living together at the time of the assault. The woman stated she was choked during the assault.
On September 27, a man notified Brownwood dispatch that he had picked up an abandoned trailer from the side of Highway 279 and taken it home. A Deputy responded, the vehicle was recovered and a report made. The offense is theft $750-$2500.
On September 27, a Deputy backed up the Chief Deputy who was with a possible intoxicated person in the 1300 block of Pasadena in Brownwood. A man was ultimately placed in custody for Public Intoxication.
On September 28, at about 13:09 hours, a Deputy arrived at the Brown County Jail in regards to an assault. The Deputy spoke to the male victim who stated another man had assaulted him.
On September 28, at approximately 17:59 hours, a Corporal responded to the LEC for an information report. The incident on FM 45/South US 377 was documented in this report.
On Saturday, September 28, at approximately 18:11, a Deputy was dispatched to an address on the 900 block of Deepwater Road in Brownwood in reference to a motorcycle accident report and investigation.
On Sunday, September 29, at approximately 14:13, a Deputy was dispatched to Hutchins Trail in Brownwood in reference to an Animal Cruelty report and investigation.
