Brownwood News – The Brown County Sheriff’s Department answered the following calls for service on Wednesday, August 7.
On Wednesday, August 7, Deputies were dispatched to Ardee Drive in regards to a disturbance in progress. During the course of the investigation, it was determined a man had assaulted his daughter and also interfered with an emergency phone call for help. The man was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail without incident.
On August 7, 2019, at approximately 20:38, a Deputy checked out with an abandoned vehicle in the 3900 block of Highway 279 in Brownwood. The vehicle had been red tagged 16 days prior. The vehicle was ultimately inventoried and picked up by Welch Bros. A report was made.
On August 7, 2019, a Sgt. was dispatched to a convenience store on North 279 in reference to a forgery. The on-duty clerk advised a man had purchased a drink using a counterfeit five dollar bill.
