Written by Ann Glasscock – Let’s rodeo Brown County! It’s more than the saddle or the bronc that he straddles; it’s more than an 8 second ride, thrills, spills, close calls, and competition; it’s more than food, fun, strange sights and bright lights; it’s the exhibition of a western tradition, and a chance to participate in a family fun event.

It’s time for the 55th annual Brown County Rodeo running May 31st through June 2nd and produced by the Andrews Rodeo Company. You might think these cowboys are crazy to ride a bull, get kicked, bucked and spun around until they hit the dirt, only to have a fraction of a second to get out of the way before the bull comes down on them. The rodeo will feature the following acts: the Misfit Cowboy with his trick trained Longhorn Roscoe Brown, the Concho Chicks Drill team, announcer TC Long, Miss Rodeo Texas, and the Legendary Bullrider Dale Brisby.
