It’s almost time for the Republican Party of Texas State Convention and Presidential Straw Poll and the Brown County Republican Convention is set for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 22 at the Adams Street Community Center.
Those interested in attending the Republican Party of Texas State Convention and Presidential Straw Poll in Fort Worth must attend their county or senate district convention this weekend.
The Texas State Republican Convention offers delegates and alternates opportunities to meet candidates for office, hear from elected officials, vote on the party platform and elect party leadership. In addition, at this convention, all attendees will have the opportunity to cast their ballot in the 2016 Presidential Straw Poll. Those interested must first be elected as a delegate or alternate at their county or senate district convention, then register to attend and book your hotel room.
Those interested in being elected as a delegate or alternate to the Texas State Republican Convention must be elected at this weekend’s convention. Every county and SD is different so check with your local party for convention details here.After being elected, delegates and alternates are encouraged to register for convention and book a hotel room. Republican Party of Texas is holding room blocks at discounted rates and these blocks will open to ALL delegates and alternates on Monday, March 24th at 2:00 PM. At that time, delegates and alternates can check the RPT website for hotel information and reservation codes for hotel rooms.
Grassroots Club members who are also planning to attend convention receive a special perk. They’ll be given the reservation codes a few hours early, allowing them to book at their preferred hotel. In addition, GRC members will be invited to exclusive events at state convention.
