Brown County Commissioners voted unanimously to lift the burn ban Monday which has been in effect since January.
Commissioner Precinct 2 Joel Kelton stated that he felt the burn ban could be lifted for at least a week.
“I’m in the opinion to lift it for about a week,” said Kelton, who explained that because of the recent rain and forecast for more, that it might be good to lift temporarily.
Commissioners agreed in a unanimous vote to lift the ban and to keep it on the upcoming agenda weekly for evaluation and possible reinstatement.
