“With the recent storms that have passed through the area and the recent ruptured water main, the Early Police Department and the City of Early want to take this time to remind all Early residents that the City of Early is a member of the Code Red alert system,” said Early Chief of Police David Mercer in a recent press release.

Mercer explained that citizens of Early who do not have computer access may come by the Early Police Department or Early City Hall and fill out a form that city employees will enter it for you.

A Code Red app can also be downloaded to smart phones to automatically receive phone calls and/or emails and text messages alerts regarding weather warnings for the area entered during signing up. Those subscribing to Code Red also receive notifications on other incidents that may affect the subscriber’s home location such as boil water notices, evacuations, emergency shelters etc.

All Brown County residents are encouraged to take advantage of this FREE and possibly life saving alert system.  CLICK HERE to sign up for Code Red notifications.
