Brown County Appraisal District (CAD) appraisers are currently working in and around the City of Brownwood and throughout the Brownwood School District boundaries.
The CAD appraisers are updating the appraisal records and taking new pictures as they review each property.
The appraisers will be going door-to-door and into the backyards of some of the properties, but not all. The majority of properties do not change from one year to the next, aside from getting older. Other properties may have changes, such as remodels, additions, and new construction.
If you believe your property has problems the CAD is not aware or and would like an appraiser to review specific issues, contact the appraisal district office.
Each appraiser will have proper appraisal district identifications signs on their vehicles and personal CAD identification badges and vests. The Brownwood Police and Brown County Sheriff’s Office have a listing of appraiser vehicles and license plate numbers.
