Do you have weeds causing problems in your pastures? Are you considering re-seeding your pasture but you still have some questions and concerns? For answers to these questions and more mark your calendars for Monday April 16, 2012. That is the date of the Brown County Ag Day. It will be held at the Brown County Fairgrounds, located on HWY 377 South.
Ag Day activities will begin at 6:00p.m. with a hamburger meal sponsored by the Brown County Farm Bureau Board of Directors.
Ag Day is open to anyone interested regardless of race, color, sex, age, handicap, or national origin. Organizers will seek to provide reasonable accommodations for all persons with disabilities for this meeting; however it is requested that those with disabilities contact the Brown County Extension Office at 325-646-0386 as soon as possible to advise of the auxiliary aid or service that will be required.
There will be a $10 registration fee payable at the door for those that pre-register by April 11, 2012, otherwise the late registration fee will be $15.00. Two (2) CEU’s will be offered to licensed pesticide applicators. Speakers include Gerald Hobson DuPont Chemical Representative and Dr. Baron Rector, Extension Range Specialist.
