It was a very short agenda for the Brown County Commissioners Court as Brown County Emergency Management Coordinator Brent Bush submitted three electrical proposals on Monday morning regarding installation of a receptacle for a generator in the county’s emegency managment trailer
The generator and trailer were purchased through grant money a few years ago, but the county does not have the ability to use the generator in the courthouse in the event of a power failure. The generator has the capacity to provide power to the entire bottom floor of the courthouse.
To enable use of the generator, bids were submitted for the required electrical work from three local contractors.
Commissioners approved the lowest proposal of the three which was submitted by Grimsley Electric for $5,879.00. Brent Bush will sign the acceptance of the proposal and coordinate the work.
In another agenda item Monday morning, Commissioners approved the tax sale of a property located at 1303 Avenue D in Brownwood for $3822 to Ronald Patton. This amount will cover back taxes and legal fees associated with the property.
