On June 9-11, seventeen Brown County 4-H members competed at the 2015 Texas 4-H Roundup in College Station. Texas 4-H Roundup is held annually for 4-H youth who have qualified for state in a contest at the district level or signed up to compete in an invitational contest.
The 4-H members participated in contests, workshops, and assemblies over a wide range of life skills from public speaking, ATV training, to livestock judging.
Three recent graduates from Brown County were recognized at Roundup for receiving a Texas 4-H Opportunity Scholarship based on their academic achievement and 4-H experience. Daniel Hall received the Richard Wallrath Educational Foundation $10,000 scholarship.
