4-H ENROLLMENT IS OPEN ON 4-H CONNECT!
The enrollment process for the 2014-2015 4-H year will begin August 15, 2014. All 4-H families, new and returning, are encouraged to log in and enroll in order to become an official 4-H member.
As you begin your enrollment for the year, here are some tips in using 4-H CONNECT:
- If you already have a profile DO NOT create another one!
- If you lost your email and password call the county office so we can reset it for you.
- An active membership will not be granted until the $20.00 participation fee is paid on 4-H Connect!
- You cannot register or participate in an eventuntil your profile is ACTIVE.
- When you are doing your re-enrollment for the 2014-2015 4-H Year please make sure you update your address, phone number, and e-mail address.
- You can use your Fundraiser Voucher to pay your membership dues. To do this you will have to come into the extension office to enroll.
- We are updating our e-mail database on November 1st so if you are not enrolled by then you will no longer receive newsletters updates via e-mail. Unless you notify the Extension Office prior to November 1st deadline.
Don’t wait until the last minute to enroll because after October 31st the cost increases to $25!!
BROWN COUNTY 4-H COUNTY COUNCIL POISTIONS STILL AVAILABLE
The Brown County 4-H County Council still has positions available. If you are interested in being on the County Council we ask that you contact the Extension Office for an application. The deadline to submit your application will be August 18th. The County Council members will be doing the interviews at 9:00a.m. the morning of the Brown County 4-H Fun Day/Banquet on August 23rd. BROWN COUNTY 4-H AWARDS BANQUET AND FUN DAY
Save the date for the upcoming Brown County 4-H Awards Banquet and Fun Day. The date is set for August 23, 2014. This year the Awards Banquet and Fun Day will be held at the Texas 4-H Center. There will be no cost to attend this year’s banquet. The banquet is open to everyone so bring some friends that are interested in 4-H.
Schedule for Saturday, August 23rd
- Awards Ceremony – 10:00 AM
- Pool – 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM
- Lunch – 1:00 PM
- Pool Closes – 3:00 PM
ADULT LEADER MEETING SEPTEMBER 4TH
There will be an Adult Leader meeting 6:00p.m. on September 4, 2014 at the Extension Office. We will be electing new officers and discussing the 2014-2015 4-H Year. Supper will be served. We look forward to seeing you at the meeting. For more information contact Nick Gonzales.
4-H HUNTER SAFETY CAMP FUNDRAISER
How would you like to be a new owner of a Cannon 36 Gun, Gun Safe (sponsored by Lee Hoffpauir)or have $1000 to spend at the Lee Hoffpauir Superstore in Goldthwaite? All you have to do is purchase a raffle ticket for $20 to be put in a drawing that will be held on September 1, 2014. This fundraiser will benefit the 4-H Hunter Safety Camp that is held at the Game Warden Training Center. Only 200 tickets will be sold.If you would like to purchase a ticket(s) you can come by the Extension Office or contact Jerry Gordon at 325-451-7854.
4-H NIGHT AT THE RANGERS
The 4-H Night at the Rangers has been set for Saturday, September 27th. This will be a 7:05 pm game against the Oakland Athletics. The deadline to order tickets is September 22nd.
