RABBIT CLUB MEETING DECEMBER 16TH
The Rabbit Club meeting on December 16th will be their annual Christmas Party. If you are planning to attend below is a list of items you will need to bring;
– Dessert or Chips and Dip
– A toy for Toys for Tots
– A food item for the Food Bank
– $5 gift for Chinese Christmas
– A Friend.
CONSUMER DECISION MAKING
If you are interested in participating in Consumer Decision Making there will be a meeting on December 16th, 5:30p.m. at the Extension Office. For more information please contact Kim Miles at the Extension Office.
TURKEY BOXES
The Annual Community Service project is making 25 Turkey Boxes to be donated to the Family Service Center so that 25 families who are not able to afford a Christmas dinner will be able to because of Brown County 4-H. We are asking that each club put at least one box together. We would like to see each club put more boxes together if possible.
The boxes will be wrapped and deliveredto the Family Service Center on December 18th. If you are planning on participating you need to be at the Extension Office at 1:00p.m. on December 18th. Pizza and drinks will be served. Please RSVP by December 15th if you plan to attend.
Call the Extension Office and let us know how many boxes your club will be putting together. Below is a list of the items that need to be put into each box.

Corn Bread Mix

* A big thanks to everyone who donated towards the purchase of the turkeys, we are proud to say that we have 25 turkeys to complete the boxes.
* If you would like contribute any of these items you may bring them by the Extension Office before December 18th.
*Following the delivery of the boxes there will be a Christmas Social at Early Game & Skate. The cost will be $6 for admission and $4 for skate rental.
BANGS FFA STOCK SHOW
The Bangs FFA Stock Show will held on December 20, 2014 at 12:00p.m.. The show will be held at the Bangs FFA Show Barn. For more information contact Marshal Stork at (254) 485-9448.

NEED HELP CLIPPING YOUR SHOW ANIMAL??
If you are going to need help clipping your show animal for the Youth Fair please contact the Extension Office and schedule a date and time. We will not be clipping any animals on January 1st. The last day we will be clipping any animals for the Youth Fair is January 3rd. If you need to borrow clippers, blower, blocking table, etc. please contact the Extension Office. We have a limited number of these items so if you borrow them we need them back within 24 hours. If you have any questions please contact the Extension Office.
COLLEGIATE FARM BUREAU SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE
Brown County Farm Bureau is once again offering collegiate scholarships for the spring 2015 semester. These scholarships are intended for those who are already in college or are of college age. Applications may be picked up at the Brown County Farm Bureau Office located at 2450 HWY 377 South in Brownwood.
Participants or their family must be Brown County Farm Bureau members in order to apply. Scholarship applications are due back to the Brown County Farm Bureau Office by January 1, 2015. For more information contact Brown County Farm Bureau at 325-646-5516.

4-H ENROLLMENT IS OPEN ON 4-H CONNECT!
The enrollment process for the 2014-2015 4-H year will begin August 15, 2014. All 4-H families, new and returning, are encouraged to log in and enroll in order to become an official 4-H member.
As you begin your enrollment for the year, here are some tips in using 4-H CONNECT:
- If you already have a profile DO NOT create another one!
- If you lost your email and password call the county office so we can reset it for you.
- An active membership will not be granted until the $20.00 participation fee is paid on 4-H Connect!
- You cannot register or participate in an eventuntil your profile is ACTIVE.
- When you are doing your re-enrollment for the 2014-2015 4-H Year please make sure you update your address, phone number, and e-mail address.
- You can use your Fundraiser Voucher to pay your membership dues. To do this you will have to come into the extension office to enroll.
- We are updating our e-mail database on November 1st so if you are not enrolled by then you will no longer receive newsletters updates via e-mail. Unless you notify the Extension Office prior to November 1st deadline.
Don’t wait until the last minute to enroll because after October 31st the cost increases to $25!!
