Brown County Commissioners will meet at 9:00 am this morning (Monday) in the County Courthouse. The agenda is as follows.
- Declare a Quorum and Call Meeting to Order
- Prayer
- Citizen Comments
(All speakers will be required to adhere to the rules of procedure, conduct and decorum adopted by the Court on August 19, 2019. Any disruptive, abusive, obscene, or disrespectful behavior will be terminated immediately.)
- Consideration and approval of meeting minutes of September 9th, 2019 and workshop minutes.
- Presentation of Treasurer’s/Auditor’s Report.
- Consideration and Approval of Payment of any bills needed
- Consideration and Approval of all appropriate action regarding the following:
- Dr. Paul Lilly, Brown County Judge – First Public Hearing on the 2019?2020 Proposed Tax Rate;
- Dr. Paul Lilly, Brown County Judge – First Public Hearing on the 2019-2020 Proposed Budget;
- Dr. Paul Lilly, Brown County Judge – Consideration and possible approval of contracts and agreements for hold-over detention services of juvenile offenders between Brown County and McCulloch County;
- Mr. Joel Kelton, Commissioner Pct. 2 – Consideration and possible approval of action regarding burn ban;
- Jennifer Robison, County Auditor- Consideration and possible approval to continue to receive a share of the bingo prize fees after January 1, 2020. Per HB 914, in order to continue to receive these funds, the county must have a majority vote and notify the Texas Lottery Commission of the decision to continue to receive revenues no later than November 1, 2019 (spon pl);

Fifteen (15) minutes after the regular meeting, Commissioners will hold a Budget Workshop.
