Brownwood News – Brown County Commissioners met in the Commissioner’s Courtroom of the County Courthouse this morning, each wearing protective masks.  All members were present.  County Judge Dr. Paul Lilly presided.

Commissioners approved acceptance of a FEMA grant related to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Information on the grant was provided by David Creed, Brown County Chief of Emergency Management (in the photo).  This reimbursement type grant is the first step in the process for the County to recoup money spent on the COVID-19 response effort.  Commissioners were asked to keep track of receipts.

Lisa Dick of the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department gave a quick update on the number of COVID-19 tests being performed and the process to get those tests to the Tarrant County lab.  A few local results also come from private labs.

In other business, the Burn Ban remains off in Brown County at this time.
