25-year-old Jason Bolt was killed Saturday during an oilfield accident in Lamesa, Texas.
The accidents claimed the lives of Bolt and a coworker, 28-year-old Sandy Daves. Both men were from Big Spring, Texas.
The Saturday accident which occurred on an oilfield platform is being investigated by OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and by the operating company Robinson Drilling of Texas, Ltd of Big Spring, reports The Big Spring Reporter Telegram.
Funeral services for Bolt were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Myers & Smith Chapel in Big Spring. Burial followed at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.
He is survived by two sons: Anthony Paul Bolt and Brandon Bolt, both of Big Spring; their mother: Teresa Silva of Big Spring; Jason’s parents: Cindy Bolt of Big Spring, and Dennis Bolt of Big Spring; two sisters: Lisa Bolt and her daughter Madison Schaff, of Miami, Florida, and Christie Peden of Hobbs, New Mexico; one brother: Justin Bolt of Brownwood; maternal grandmother: Shirley Hall of Odessa; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
