Press Release – The Brownwood Regional Medical Center Volunteers are pleased to announce the selection of their October 2017 Volunteer of the Month. During the November 2017 Meeting of the BRMC Volunteer’s Executive Board, BRMC Volunteer Ruth Pierce was honored as the October 2017 Volunteer of the Month.
Ruth Pierce joined the BRMC Volunteer Organization in May of 2007. She currently volunteers in the Gift Shop at Brownwood Regional Medical Center and is the Gift Shop Scheduler having assumed that responsibility in 2016. Her 10 plus years of experience as a Gift Shop Volunteer is a great asset to the BRMC Gift Shop Volunteer Service Area. Ruth always strives to meet the needs and expectations of BRMC Staff, Patients, and Visitors in their selection of gift items found in the BRMC Gift Shop. She has accumulated over 2000 hours of volunteer service at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
The Volunteer of the Month Award is awarded by the BRMC Volunteers each month during the year. Recipients of the Award receive recognition and lunch at the Executive Board Meeting held in the month following the month for which they are selected.
The BRMC Volunteers are always excited to meet area individuals who are interested in becoming a Volunteer and are actively soliciting new members. If you have an interest in volunteering a minimum of 6 to 8 hours per month, you will find BRMC Volunteering will meet your needs.
